Bin raider appears
I spied an employee of the refuse company, driving a street-sweeping vehicle, pull up by our Westminter Council Refuse bin. I thought: "He'll never empty all of that into his tiny sweeper".
But no, he had other things on his mind. He got out of his cabin and started rifling through the sacks of refuse in the black skip and taking what looked like folders and sheets of paper out of a bin bag. He studied these for a while in his cabin, separating the stuff into two piles: one which he returned to the huge wheelie bin; the other he hung onto.
After he had left I sneaked over the road and looked in the bin and saw that the stuff he'd rejected was somebody's bank statements.
He visited at 4pm and 6pm. I took down his number plate and then had to leave for the airport as I was about to go on holiday...
